Learning outcomes:
The students get aquainted with basic knowledge in Medical Microbiology and Hygiene. The focus is on infections which may appear while working with medical technology products. In addition, students learn basics about the hygienical correct handling with potential contaminated materials as well as the avoidance of contamination by the technical staff.

Recommended prerequisites:

• Basic knowledge in biology, chemistry and physics

Content: Basic knowledge in bacteriology, mycology and virology with focus on pathogenic bacteria of hospitalized patients, bio-hazard of medical staff and training for cases of accidents with potentially infectious agents
